Camomile oil

The Roman camomile is also called the „plant doctor“ in the plant alchemies as it heals neighbouring plants from a wide range of illnesses. The plant has a great medicinal tradition. It is mentioned in books for over 2000 years.

The origin of the plant is the Mediterranean region. Today it is mainly grown in England. The plant is among nine holy plants of the Saxons. British herbal therapy uses it e.g. for digestive problems, sickness and nausea, flatulence and mental stress. It is the oil with the highest content of ester and is therefore a typical “psycho oil”. Ancient medicine describes its positive effect especially on psychological and nervous troubles. The strong scent is warm, refreshing, sweet and herbaceous, fruity-aromatic.

The oil is a great skin care product especially to reduce inflammation of ageing and stressed skin. Chamomile extract calms and refines the skin.

Important properties: very strong anticonvulsant properties, relaxing, balancing, aids wound healing, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic and helps with skin allergies and skin inflammation.
